The Block Party

Barricades: Barricades will be up to block the streets from 8am to 10pm. This makes it so that there is no traffic coming through the neighborhood at all for maximum enjoyment. People in the neighborhood will be able to leave the neighborhood if wanted.

The Potluck: The Potluck is a meal hosted by the Shoups, but everyone is very welcome to bring a dish to share. This would be at lunch time, and gives everyone a chance to catch up with one another. Bring your own drinks and chairs, and tables will be set up at the Shoups House (924).

Schedule: (2024)

8am: Blockades are set up, and bounce house will be moved to (917) Front Lawn.

9:30am: Glitter Glue Tattoos -- Special Glitter Tattoos at 917 *Thanks to the Menkes

11am: The Bike Parade -- The kids will ride their bikes down the "blocked" roads.

NOON: Lunch -- This is the Potluck I described to you above. Bring a dish, a chair, and a drink, and grow in community!

1pm: Talent Show -- Kids, or Adults, come show us WHAT YOU GOT! We will set the chairs up in the street, and the stage will be put on the Shoups Driveway. (924)

2pm: Dance Party -- Everyone get up, and start dancing on the street! Brandon and Allison will have a sound system set for maximum moves from you!

Throughout the Day we will have chalk, so feel free to bring out your artistic side. We like to draw on the street, or do whatever. We will also have lawn games out for people to enjoy!

There is an information page that will get handed out to everyone in the neighborhood, but if you somehow still need one, or lose it, I will have it posted on this page when the time comes.
